Ways to Donate
- JoyMarie's is a not for profit 501(c)3. All your donations are 100% tax deductible.
- JoyMarie's is 100% privately funded by individuals in our community, as well as businesses, organizations and private foundations.
There are many ways you can help keep our store fully stocked with wonderful clothing and shoes that our young shoppers will love.
Do you like to shop? - Purchase new clothes when shopping at the mall. When you are shopping for school clothes for your own children, remember JoyMarie's and help by picking up an extra shirt or a pair of shoes that would put a smile on a child's face!
Clean out your closets! The majority of the clothing on our floor is gently used clothing from closets just like yours!
Group Clothing Drives: Are you or your children involved with PTA, a civic group, church group or other organization? We can help you organize a group clothing drive. Contact us for more information at 719.495.5191.
Apparel Partnerships: If you are in the clothing retail, resale or wholesale business and want to help the children in our community, we would love to hear from you. Contact Joy at 719.495.5191. JoyMarie's is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Cash Donations
JoyMarie's can not run without cash donations. 100% of your cash donation goes towards clothing a child. We currently have no in-house payroll or administrative costs.
How will your cash donation be used;
- To buy new clothing; all underwear, socks, and pajamas.
- To buy laundry detergents to clean donated clothes that require cleaning.
- Printing materials for D.H.S. & fostercare agencies to forward to qualifying families.
Clothing Donations
JoyMarie's relies on donations of gently used clothes and shoes suitable for ages 0-18 to wear to school or church to complete our mission. All donations go directly to our kids free of charge. Remember all wardrobes are free to JoyMarie's kids!
- Gently used clothing should be freshly laundered and folded flat in a box or bag.
- New underwear and socks: must be in unopened packages.
- Clothes should be gently used and free of holes, stains, rips, and all buttons & zippers are included and are in working order.
- Shoes in good condition suitable for school or church.
Non Clothing Donations Accepted and Made Available to Our Qualified Families
- Gently used sheets and blankets. ∙
- Baby Gear: strollers, high chairs, step stools, car seats etc.∙
- School Supplies: school supplies and backpacks
- New toiletries; toothbush, hair brush, toothpaste, hair accessories
- Outer Wear Gear: seasonal coats, hats, and mittens, boots∙
- Generic Sports Gear: Football / Soccer Cleats (We are currently working on listing available sports gear on the website with sizes for qualified families to use.) ∙
- Boy Scout and Girl Scout uniforms and required current scouting books
We Do Not Accept
- Used underwear, socks, or bras
- Pajamas with feet/footies/booties attached.
- We do not accept any clothing with events (1997 church camp) or inappropriate statements printed on them.
- Toys or Books
- Sports uniforms
- Hangers
Clothing Donations can be dropped off Mondays thru Fridays from 9am to 3pm at JoyMarie's or call us for alternative donation drop-off locations or to schedule a pickup at your location at 719.495.5191.
Current Needs...
A New storefront! We have outgrown our current facility. We are looking for a new home. Do you or someone you know have square footage space to generously donate? We are looking for either a retail site or warehouse space that is a minimum of 3000 sq ft. It needs to be a safe place for families during daytime and evening hours.
New Apparel Partners! If you are in the clothing retail, resale or wholesale business and want to help the children in our community, we would love to hear from you.
Drop Off Locations! We are looking for businesses or schools in the Colorado Springs area who can collect donations for us. You would be in control of the collections. We just ask you to give us days and times that you would be open for collections. We will pick up all items from you as needed.
Betty Moore has put in countless hours washing clothes, sorting clothes, and helping to keep us organized. After spending time with her horse Suzie which she boards at Shooting Star Ranch where JoyMarie's is currently located, she then stays and volunteers or picks up a few loads of clothes to bring home. We appreciate her help and cherish her positive spirit.
